Sharing your hormone-therapy stage helps the coach understand non-linear voice change. It's optional, the dropdown includes 'Prefer not to say', and the data never appears in logs or analytics.

- Is there a free version?
- Yes. The pitch meter is free and needs no account. Speak and watch your pitch and range move in real time, right in your browser. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
- Who is Voice Lab for?
- Anyone exploring or affirming their voice, and especially trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive people, at any stage, on or off HRT. Voice Lab adapts to feminize, masculinize, or androgenize goals, and you can describe your own goal in your own words.
- How is this different from a speech-language pathologist?
- Voice Lab is an at-home practice tool with measurable feedback between visits, not a replacement for care. If you're working with an SLP, you can bring your trend graph along. If you're not, Voice Lab is a place to start. Either way, it isn't medical care.
- What does it cost?
- The pitch meter is free. The full Voice Lab will use credit packs called Allgenda Dues, where 5% of every transaction is set aside at checkout for a nonprofit you choose. Pricing opens when the full Voice Lab does.
- What browsers and devices work?
- Recent Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari (iOS 17 and newer). Both the meter and the coach need microphone permission. The free meter reads your voice on-device, and the live coaching session adds an encrypted stream to OpenAI Realtime.
- How does the language stay inclusive?
- Every line of Voice Lab copy is reviewed against Allgenda's inclusive-language rules. We use 'pronouns' (not 'preferred pronouns'), 'trans people' (never 'transgenders'), and frame goals as acoustic targets, not identity outcomes.
